Proclamation of 1763

In October 7th, "1763 announcement" (aka "the royal proclamation of 1763") issued by the British king George Sans won the seven years of war, from the French hand to obtain a new French release. The purpose of this announcement is to monitor the land acquisition, settlement and fur trade of the western frontier of the west to stabilize the relationship with the indigenous tribes, and the more effective governance of the vast American territory. The announcement is essentially banned the colonization of the Americas in the Appalachian Mountains to the west of the local purchase of land or settled, but there was already a considerable number of settlers already in these places have land, so this announcement released that these people are quite displeased, is the result of the background of the American War of independence.

The announcement on the Atlantic coast of British colonies in North America and the Appalachian Mountains to the west of the aboriginal settlement (name of Indian reservations between drew a line (often referred to as "the proclamation line"). However, this line is not a fixed line separating the two tribes, but it is a temporary dividing line that will gradually westward over the premise of order and legality. Notice prohibiting private acquisition of indigenous land, the responsibility to be acquired from the acquisition of land will be submitted to the government officials and related tribes at the meeting. At the same time, the official ban on British settlers crossed the line to settle in the native land, and also to prohibit the colonial officials in the absence of approval under the grant of land. The announcement made the official monopoly of the acquisition of native land.

In addition to controlling the expansion of the colonies, the announcement also had the provisions of the former French colony. It in four places set up a new government, Quebec, West Florida, East Florida and Grenada. In each new colonies appointed the governor or the house of Lords, they signed legislation power to confer, and give the elected House of Commons. At the same time, the inhabitants of these colonies and enjoy rights equal to Britain's native people -- one of the other colonies of the British overseas to fight for several years to get right. The more insulting to other colonies is the establishment of a civil and criminal court with the right to appeal, but the people who commit the stamp act or sugar act need to be convicted in a maritime court that cannot prove his innocence.

Historians have different views on the impact of the 1763 announcement of the United States of America's independence war. Some historians claim that the announcement was no longer a source of tension in 1768 after the expansion of the colony, and some of the other's claims that the settlement of the colony had deepened the contradiction between the colonial and the motherland.

In the United Kingdom and the United States after the signing of the Paris treaty in 1783, the United States refused to implement the announcement, no longer limited to the colonial development. But then the United States government also need to face more and more serious problem of the border conflict, and therefore the implementation of similar policies in 1763 announcement. The first article "Indian Exchange Act" was passed in 1790 to prohibit people from entering the land of Indian and the trade with the Indians. The U.S. Supreme Court also ruled that the people of the United States in 1823 can not buy any land from the native land, from then on only the U.S. government can legally acquire native land.

Elsewhere in the British colonies of North American colonies is still an effective way to manage the transfer of indigenous lands, in particular in Canada and Rupert. In the aboriginal peoples in Canada -- First Nations and the Inuit and Mei pedicle people -- to the announcement for the maintenance of the land ownership based, therefore proclamation of 1763 in Article 25 of the Canadian Charter of rights and freedoms on the details of the aboriginal rights and freedoms noted.

The war was driven by the rivalry between the European powers. The British Empire and the kingdom of France and the Spanish Empire compete against each other in trade and colonies. At the same time, the kingdom of the kingdom of Rome, the rising power and the Empire of Austria are simultaneously in the holy empire of the system and the internal and external hegemony. The Switched (Partner): the kingdom of the Kingdom and the British Empire established the alliance, and the alliance of the French Empire and the Empire of Austria. INPRO alliance after a succession of small Germany state (especially Hanover) and participate in the Portuguese Empire, and Austrian alliance include Sweden, Saxony, and later joined the Spanish Empire. The Russian Empire initially aligned with the Austria empire. But in 1762 Tsar Peter Sans ascended the throne after the change of position, and with Sweden together with the kingdom of Prussia alone concluded a contract.
